This jacket can take a beating,the pockets can hole two full boxes of shells(12 gauge shells) with no problem. Very comfortable and warm on cold days

Great Jacket!

Just took delivery of this new NICA jacket. This jacket ran about half a size small (a good thing IMHO for a shooting jacket), but has an athletic cut for a close, near tailored fit. I was worried about it being insulated and water-resistant, and then being too bulky or too hot and clammy. Well it breathes incredibly well, so remains comfortable when the temps climb a bit, but is really warm when it needs to be. I have two complaints: the shell pockets have grommeted drain holes in them, and the grommets are not finished off very well in the bottom of the pocket and snag your fingers; the elastic waist bands are placed about 4" higher than your actual waist area, so feels wrong initially. They may need to be there because of the pocket design, and they do help keep the jacket fitting close to your chest at the leather pads. These two little nits keep it from getting 5 stars, but I'd give it 4-1/2 if I could.

It's about time somebody figured this out. Warm, comfortable and functional. I have tried all the rest. Finally a performance oriented jacket and not some jacket that you hope you can shoot in. This one is head and shoulders above the rest. Nice job NICA!
